L-PREMIUM NEOLITHIC I
ABOUT
The Dejawu L-Premium Neolithic No.1 is the only L-Premium that will be available for sale. The guitar has the construction of a fully semi-acoustic guitar, in which we omitted the F-holes. The body and three-piece set neck are completely carved by hand from solid prehistoric maple, the best tone wood one could possibly wish for. The wood has a bright and clear tonal profile and produces a tight, focused sound with excellent note definition, making it ideally suited for genres that require precision and articulation. The exceptional age of the wood enhances all these characteristics significantly, producing a truly unique sound. When playing, you can just feel the 7500 years of (underground) sound and history resonating against your chest!
A unique combination of nutrients present in the soil have led to the wood to develop a stunning natural dark brown color. We applied multiple very thin layers of nitro-cellulose lacquer, carefully hand polished between applications to highlight the natural color and grain, while maintaining the sound characteristics of the wood. The body and neck are trimmed with a ‘young maple’ seven-ply binding, a classy contrast to its older cousin. Light as a feather, including the electronics and hardware, it only weighs a mere 2800 grams. For extra reinforcement the neck has two carbon rods alongside the truss rod.

The tops, backs and necks of our guitars are completely carved by hand, using exclusively premium solid tone woods with outstanding tonal quality. Our guitars are built from one piece, allowing the wood to vibrate more freely, producing a more complex and dynamic sound.
The construction of our semi-acoustic guitars - all of which are equipped with a square center block at the bridge position - eliminates all possible feedback problems entirely while maintaining its acoustic properties. The center of the top maintains its original thickness, while the rest of the wood is carefully carved away by hand. In this way, there is no tension on the top and therefore there is no tendency to bend and/or deform over time. This method eliminates the need for a center block that covers the entire body length of the guitar needed for stability and to avoid feedback.
Every guitar we build has a completely unique look. The hand polished nitro-cellulose lacquer highlights the individual character of the grain, while maintaining the sound characteristics of the wood.
